Physiotherapy Opportunity in Aged Care

We are seeking a skilled Physiotherapist to provide high-quality care and support to residents in our aged care facilities.

About the Role

As a Physiotherapist, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate physiotherapy treatments and programs for individual residents.

The key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Mobility management
  • Fall and injury risk management
  • Chronic disease management
  • Pain management

Key Responsibilities:

  • SUPPORT A MULTIDISCIPLINARY APPROACH PRIORITIZING PHYSICAL AND EMOTIONAL WELLBEING OF RESIDENTS
  • PROVIDE LEADERSHIP, GUIDANCE, AND CLINICAL SUPERVISION TO LIFESTYLE COORDINATORS AND THERAPY PARTNERS
  • ENSURE APPROPRIATE EQUIPMENT IS AVAILABLE FOR ALLIED HEALTH STAFF
  • COMPLETE COMPREHENSIVE ASSESSMENTS AND REGULAR REVIEWS TO IDENTIFY RESIDENTS' NEEDS
  • BUILD TRUSTING RELATIONSHIPS WITH RESIDENTS BASED ON DIGNITY AND RESPECT

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science (Physiotherapy) degree
  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Physiotherapist
  • Experience in residential and community-based assessment and rehabilitation
  • Must hold a Current National Police Clearance
  • Demonstrated excellence in evidence-based physiotherapy interventions
  • Understanding and appreciation of contemporary physiotherapy practice in aged care
  • Ability to relate to older people with empathy, understanding, and affording dignity and respect
  • Knowledge of Aged Care standards
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
