Job Title:

Team Leader for Permanency Support

This is a leadership role where you will guide and coordinate a team of professionals in the delivery of high-quality services across various child protection and adoption programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide day-to-day operational leadership, support, guidance, feedback, and mentorship to staff to ensure quality service delivery and permanency outcomes for children, young people, and families.
  • Maintain team procedures to ensure compliance with funding agreements and professional standards.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead a team of Therapeutic Case Managers and Case Managers in OOHC, and coordinate services across foster care, aftercare, voluntary out-of-home care, adoptions, guardianship, preservation, and restoration.
Essential Criteria:
  • Tertiary qualification in social work, community services, teaching, nursing, psychology, family therapy, or related discipline.
  • Demonstrated leadership, supervision, and mentoring experience, ideally supported by vocational training.
  • Experience delivering quality assessment and case management services to at-risk families or children and young people in OOHC.
  • Understanding and application of contemporary case management practice including cultural planning and positive behaviour support.
  • Knowledge and experience working within trauma-informed, evidence-based frameworks.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills with the ability to lead robust conversations.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, and regulations in child protection and adoption.
  • Current Working with Children Check and NDIS Check.
  • Current driver's licence and access to a well-maintained vehicle.
  • Current first aid certificate.
