
Permanency Support Specialist

This position involves undertaking a range of functions to achieve results in line with permanency planning principles and broader organisational goals.
Key responsibilities include providing support and expert advice to stakeholders, delivering specialised assistance, and exercising high levels of interpersonal skills when working with colleagues and the community.
We are seeking someone passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of others. You should be empathetic, committed to confidentiality, and able to work as part of a team with minimal supervision.
Essential Requirements:
- Rélevant tertiary or diploma qualifications in human services related areas.
- Significant experience working with vulnerable children and young people, their carers and families.
- Knowledge of legislation, NSW Child Safe Standards for Permanent Care, and the Permanency Support Program.
- Demonstrated experience in research and project design, including implementing program frameworks and developing strategies for implementation.
Desirable Criteria:
- Evidence-based frameworks such as Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) and Children and Residential Experiences (CARE).
- Training and Assessment (TAE) qualification.
