Amazon is seeking a skilled Reliability Maintenance Engineer to join our Maintenance & Engineering team at our Sort Center in Northern Melbourne. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring safety regulations and policies are adhered to, conducting preventative maintenance on time to a high standard, and providing high levels of equipment availability through continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance on the full range of equipment within the site.
  • Put health & safety best practices first in all work carried out.
  • React quickly to breakdowns, communicate clearly with affected teams, and work efficiently to fix the issue.
  • Support continuous improvement by learning from breakdowns and sending feedback and suggestions for improvements through the line manager.
  • Provide high levels of equipment availability to our internal customers.
  • Support and learn from Senior Maintenance Technicians.

A Day in the Life:

As a Reliability Maintenance Engineer, you will be based on-site, responding quickly to any machinery issues. You will carry out a range of planned preventative maintenance to our sites' equipment to ensure it's working safely. You will also respond promptly to breakdowns, investigating, finding, and implementing solutions as quickly as possible. You will make suggestions for long-term improvements and work alongside senior colleagues to undertake day-to-day maintenance tasks and general building maintenance.

Our Reliability Maintenance Engineering team keeps our equipment performing at its best. We're a technically minded team, made up of excellent team players and guided by experienced leaders. We work together to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment across our global network of fulfillment centers.

Basic Qualifications:

Formal Trade Qualification: Certificate III in Electrotechnology with current electrical trade license

Experience of planned preventative maintenance systems

Experience fault finding within Material Handling Equipment/Automation systems

Ability to read and understand electrical/mechanical drawings

Experience of conveyor maintenance, motor controllers/inverters

Experience of working to appropriate health & safety standards and regulations

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience of computer maintenance systems (CMMS)

Experience of sortation machines

Experience in an industrial environment

Experience of maintaining/configuring bar code scanners

Experience of print and apply machines
