**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a Clinical Informatician to lead and develop expert guidance in enabling capability for clinical analytics within our learning health system program.

This role involves leadership responsibility across identifying and implementing strategy and processes to improve electronic Medical Record (eMR) data quality and standardisation of clinical data management for SCHN.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To lead the development and implementation of clinical analytics capabilities in support of a learning health system program.
  • To identify and implement strategies and processes to improve eMR data quality and standardisation of clinical data management for SCHN.
  • To provide expert guidance and oversight on the assembly of clinical eMR datasets using SQL and/or Python scripting language.
  • To communicate data quality initiatives to various stakeholders, including clinical teams.
  • To develop and deliver effective data management principles, including data dictionaries, common data models or standard operating procedures.

Requirements:
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in information technology, data science or equivalent work experience in a health setting.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of NSW health ICT systems, clinical technology, eMR data structure (preferably Cerner) and interoperability of solutions and gaps.
  • Highly developed oral and written communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on negotiation, consultation, technical strategy and organisational activities.
