About this opportunity
As a skilled professional in our Public Surgical Ward, you will have the chance to work with various specialties including Orthopaedic and Neurosurgery, Urology, Upper Gastrointestinal, General surgery, Plastic Surgery, Vascular surgery and Breast and Endocrine Surgery. We support ongoing education for all staff through our education department and have clinical nurse educators on the ward.
Key Responsibilities:- Work in a fast-paced surgical environment, providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
- Demonstrate advanced skills, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care plans.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development to enhance practice and stay current with best practices.
- Current registration as a healthcare specialist with the relevant regulatory body.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in a public hospital setting.
- Proven computer literacy, including email and electronic patient record systems.
- Ability to manage shift work, including day, night shifts, and weekends.
