Our client is a leading industrial manufacturer seeking an experienced Cost Accountant to fill a key position with a potential for extension and permanent placement.

About the Role

  • Maintaining accurate product costs is essential for business success.
  • We require assistance in preparing annual product budgets to ensure we stay on track.
  • Providing pricing and costing analysis is crucial for supporting business opportunities and decisions.
  • The master database must be kept up-to-date and accurate at all times.
  • Accurate reports and reconciliations are necessary for various areas of the business.
  • Calculating customer rebates and accruals, as well as price amendments, requires strong analytical skills.
  • Maintaining process and procedure documentation is vital for efficiency.

About You

  • Tertiary Qualification in Accounting or similar is required.
  • Certified Practising Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent is preferred.
  • Experience in costing products in a manufacturing environment is essential.
  • Attention to detail is critical for this role.
  • High critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Good computer literacy skills and comfort with various types of technology are essential.
  • Ability to work well as a team and interact with different groups of people is vital.
