Job Title: Senior Landscape Construction Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Landscape Construction Manager to join our team. This is a permanent position with a leading landscape company that designs, constructs, and maintains residential and commercial properties.

The ideal candidate will have a trade qualification in Landscape Construction (Cert III or higher), a current NSW Driver's Licence, and minimum 2 years of structural landscape construction experience as a qualified tradesperson.

You will be responsible for managing 1-3 landscapers, labourers, and/or sub-contractors to ensure efficient construction progress. You will also oversee project timeframes and materials, participate in on-the-job training for apprentices and junior staff, and read and understand plans and written procedures.

As a Senior Landscape Construction Manager, you will lead by example and demonstrate initiative. You will apply your skills in earthworks, concreting, paving/tiling, decking/carpentry, retaining, fencing, garden edging, drainage, irrigation, planting, and turfing, and related landscape construction tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Effectively manage 1-3 landscapers, labourers, and/or sub-contractors to ensure efficient construction progress.
  2. Manage project timeframes and materials to progress construction efficiently.
  3. Oversee material ordering and budgets.
  4. Participate in on-the-job training for apprentices and junior staff.
  5. Read and understand plans and written procedures.
  6. Complete construction to a high quality with excellent attention to detail.
  7. Lead by example and demonstrate initiative.
  8. Apply skills in earthworks, concreting, paving/tiling, decking/carpentry, retaining, fencing, garden edging, drainage, irrigation, planting, and turfing, and related landscape construction tasks.
  9. Maintain competent computer skills (email, project management software, etc.).
