Work as an Occupational Therapy Assistant with WorkFocus Australia

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team in Darwin. As a valued member of our team, you will play a vital role in helping clients regain their independence and achieve their goals in life and work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist and shadow the rehab consulting team in conducting Worksite, Functional, Ergonomic, Equipment and Home ADL Assessments.
  • Conduct report writing and other administrative tasks.
  • Design, implement and monitor programs that assist injured employees return to the workforce.
  • Liaise with clients, medical practitioners, insurers and employers to achieve outcomes appropriate for all parties.
  • Provide Ad Hoc Support to a multi-disciplinary term of Rehabilitation Consultants to assist clients in recovering from injury.

Requirements:

  • Currrently enrolled in Bachelor or Master of Occupational Therapy, with the ability to obtain AHPRA registration as an OT upon graduation (final year applicants preferred).
  • Willingness to travel (A current vehicle and drivers licence is essential).
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Determination to consistently provide a high level of customer service.
  • A keen sense of punctuality and the effective ability to manage your time.

Salary Information:

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $70,000 - $90,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
