Project Estimator Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Estimator to lead our natural resources team in Brisbane.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience across mining, oil & gas, and natural resources sectors.

  • Lead project estimation processes from inception to completion, ensuring timely and accurate estimates.
  • Analyze project plans, specifications, and requirements to develop comprehensive cost estimates, including materials, labor, equipment, and overhead costs.
  • Utilize industry-standard estimating software and tools to prepare detailed take-offs and cost breakdowns.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain accurate pricing and cost data.
  • Review bids, proposals, and subcontractor quotes for competitiveness and compliance.
  • Conduct value engineering to identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative methods.
  • Prepare and present cost estimates, reports, and presentations to stakeholders and clients.
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and negotiations.
  • Calculate project costs and estimate timelines.
  • Maintain and update estimates based on project scope changes.
  • Develop and mentor junior estimators and team members.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and market conditions.
  • Ensure estimating activities comply with company policies and standards.
