About the role: We are seeking a dedicated Support Worker to provide direct care within a residential setting, ensuring a safe and nurturing home-like environment.
Key responsibilities include promoting positive family relationships and resilience in working with young people who have complex needs and challenging behaviours.
To be successful in this role, you will require a Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (Residential Care), or equivalent qualification. A valid Australian full driver's licence for the state applied for, as well as valid Australian working rights, are also essential.
We encourage applicants with willingness to complete a Child Safety and Personal Screening Check, Working With Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, First Aid and CPR qualifications.
Desirable skills and experience include availability to work any rostered shifts across a 24/7 model, including awake nights and sleepovers. A passion for supporting young people who have experienced trauma and disability is also highly regarded.
