About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Perinatal Mental Health Specialist to join our team at Gidget Foundation Australia. As a Perinatal Psychologist or Accredited Mental Health Social Worker, you will be responsible for delivering face-to-face psychological support to women and their partners at our Gidget House, Point Cook.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive psychological assessments and evidence-based therapies to expectant and new parents with perinatal mental health issues.
- Work within a recovery-oriented model, utilizing a person/family-centered approach.
- Manage a caseload of clients, providing individual, couple, and parent-infant therapies.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic care to clients.
- Participate in supervision and professional development opportunities to maintain expertise in perinatal mental health.
Requirements:
- AHPRA registration with endorsements in psychology or accreditation as a mental health social worker.
- At least 3 years post-registration experience, with specific experience working with perinatal clients or in a complementary field.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently under approved professional supervision.
- Effective caseload management.
- Gidget Foundation Australia COVID-19 Vaccination Policy requires all clinicians delivering a face-to-face service to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
