Our Structures Team focuses on designing structures that deliver our clients' requirements and make a positive difference to the community. The team delivers value engineering solutions by creating structures with performance efficiencies and draws on market and industry connections to make things happen.

Our Brisbane office is seeking an Associate Engineer with significant engineering design experience, strong communication skills, and a desire to mentor developing engineers. The successful candidate will work on various projects in a client-facing capacity, provide structural engineering expertise, and ensure the highest standards of quality.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing structures that meet clients' requirements
  • Providing structural engineering expertise to project teams
  • Mentoring developing engineers within the group

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
  • Chartered member (CPEng) of Institute of Engineers Australia
  • Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ)
  • Ideally 10+ years demonstrated experience in structural engineering
  • Strong understanding of Australian design codes and standards
  • Demonstrated experience at a senior level of project design and commercial outcomes for projects
  • Experience in writing tenders and proposals, leading projects, and communicating with clients
  • An innovative and out-of-the-box attitude to solutions and designs
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Desire to develop their own team and client base
