WorkPac is seeking a skilled Safety Management Specialist to join our team in Yarwun, working closely with the shutdown team. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and supporting safety management systems, updating site-specific procedures, and facilitating risk assessments.

Responsibilities:
  • Implement and support comprehensive safety management systems to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
  • Develop and update site-specific health, safety, and environmental (HSE) procedures and standards to align with industry best practices.
  • Conduct level 2 risk assessments to identify and prioritize potential hazards, and develop effective mitigation strategies.
  • Coach and support incident and fatigue management processes to prevent workplace injuries and illnesses.
  • Manage and maintain safety data and reports to track trends and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure suppliers adhere to HSE management plan commitments, and conduct regular audits to verify compliance.
  • Liaise with contractors and site HSE teams, holding daily meetings to discuss progress and address concerns.
  • Review and set safety priorities based on data-driven insights, and develop action plans to address emerging issues.
  • Collate and provide real-time safety data to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
Skills & Experience:
  • A strong background in HSE management and safety systems, with experience in developing and implementing effective safety protocols.
  • Proven ability to coach, mentor, and provide compliance support to colleagues and contractors.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in conducting audits and managing safety data, with a focus on identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Ability to facilitate risk assessments and ensure safety priorities are met, while maintaining a proactive approach to safety management.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.

Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. Estimated annual salary range based on national averages in Australia.
