Gosford Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Medical Physics Specialist to join their dynamic team. This role is essential in ensuring the highest standards of medical imaging and radiation safety, while contributing to the hospital’s commitment to delivering high-quality healthcare services. As a Medical Physics Specialist, you will be responsible for;
- Maintaining a Dose and Imaging Quality Assurance program to assist in the provision of a high quality medical Imaging service
- Coordinate and supervise the commissioning/decommissioning of Medical Imaging Equipment.
- Participate in departmental education programs, provide training for Registrar Physicist and other medical Imaging staff as required.
- Participate in quality improvement, radiation safety and research & development activities.
- Initiate improvements in the standard of the department’s medical physics service, possess good communication and practical skills, work as part of a team and readily interact with patients within the department.

**About You**
- You have sufficient qualifications and clinical experience to be employed under the NSW Medical Physics Award as a Medical Physics Specialist.
- You have demonstrated time management and organisational skills to efficiently handle the busy demands of the department.
- You have the ability to work as part of a team, with excellent communication skills, both with patients and multidisciplinary staff.
- You have a proven ability to demonstrate initiative and flexibility in managing a dynamic and busy work environment.

You will be based at Gosford Hospital, working within the Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD) in a multidisciplinary team that strives to provide world-class healthcare. The medical imaging department plays a vital role in diagnosis and treatment, and you will be instrumental in ensuring the safety and accuracy of imaging services, contributing to the "Healthy People - Vibrant Community" mission of CCLHD.
