About the Role

As a Senior Project Engineer, you will play a critical role in deploying, configuring and supporting mission-critical software that makes the power grid safer, greener and more resilient.

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional to work with customers to define project requirements through effective communication and application of engineering and product expertise.

  • You will work closely with customers to ensure the requirements are passed on to other departments to meet the outcome of project delivery.
  • You will design, build, integrate, test and commission power utility SCADA systems for energy transmission, generation or distribution utilities.
  • You will perform testing and resolve identified issues during factory and site acceptance testing, involving product, infrastructure and communications.
  • You will assist in troubleshooting and continual improvement of our capability, including local staging and IT infrastructure, as well as delivery, training and support processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited institution in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering or related field of engineering.
  • Strong technical background in automation and computers with knowledge of C/C++, Python, relational databases, HTML and XML.
  • Basic knowledge of networking and operating systems for troubleshooting.
  • Able to work on several projects in parallel in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Excellent organization, interpersonal, communication, reporting and planning skills.
  • Able to influence others to achieve objectives more efficiently.
  • Strong commitment and customer orientation.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Genuine interest in technology and improvement.
  • Will work on-site and prepared to travel to customer sites when required.
  • Australian Citizen or Permanent resident with full working rights within Australia.
