Job Summary:

This role provides vital community engagement and administrative support to departmental projects and initiatives, offering a unique opportunity to develop new skills within a supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Community development or working with local communities.
  • Effective communication and confident interaction with others.
  • Organised and detail-oriented individual with proficiency in computer applications.

Priority is given to applicants from public housing residents, particularly those from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, women, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

Accountabilities Include:
  • Undertake a mandatory course of study in Public Sector Service Delivery through a registered training provider.
  • Perform administrative tasks accurately, including answering queries, taking messages, following up on action items, arranging meetings and agendas, photocopying and filing.
  • Prepare and send written communications, posters and newsletters, and update databases.
  • Provide face-to-face support for community engagement activities across the Yarra estates.

This role offers a chance to work collaboratively and develop essential skills. We encourage applicants with lived experience of public housing to apply.
