About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Prosthetic and Orthotic Technical Specialist to join our team at Canberra Health Services (CHS). As a key member of our Rehabilitation, Aged, and Community Services (RACS) division, you will work from the well-equipped Village Creek Centre and occasionally provide in-home support across the ACT.

As a Prosthetic and Orthotic Technical Specialist, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional client care by crafting, modifying, and maintaining clinical devices that empower clients to achieve their mobility and independence goals. Your work will directly enhance their quality of life and help them reach their full potential.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with plastics, laminates, metals, and fabrics, and will thrive in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same. This role offers a diverse range of tasks, and we invite suitably experienced Technical Officers who are ready to make a real impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Crafting, modifying, and maintaining clinical devices
  • Providing in-home support across the ACT
  • Working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team

Requirements:

  • Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
  • Relevant technical qualifications and skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary package, including a base salary of $104,322 - $118,098 per annum, plus superannuation. You will also have access to a range of benefits, including flexible working conditions, salary packaging, and reimbursement of relocation expenses for interstate candidates.
