Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Expedition Manager to oversee the operational aspects of our Polar Expeditions, Discovery Expeditions, and Small Ship Cruises.

Main Responsibilities
  • Operational Planning: Collaborate with the Product team to assess new destinations and itineraries for safe and logistically sound experiences.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Manage complex permitting processes across global regions, liaising with government bodies, traditional owners, and environmental agencies.
  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Develop and maintain SOPs and operational frameworks that support scalable and consistent delivery.
  • Asset Management & Procurement: Lead equipment and logistics planning across vessels, supporting multiple voyages with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Team & Budget Leadership: Coach and lead a small team, manage functional budgets, and align operations with strategic and cultural goals.
  • Sustainability in Action: Bring environmentally responsible practices to life through operations and procurement.
Requirements
  • 5+ years in a senior operations or expedition logistics leadership role.
  • Expertise in regulatory compliance, permit navigation, and stakeholder management.
  • Strong knowledge of expedition cruise operations, especially polar regions is a bonus.
  • High-level communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience managing budgets and teams.
  • Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, change-driven environment.
  • A degree in Business, Operations, or related discipline (desirable).
  • A passion for sustainability, cultural sensitivity, and adventure travel.
