About the Role

This position involves providing domestic and social support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders in the Moreton Bay region. The successful candidate will work in accordance with client care plans, focusing on personal care, domestic assistance, social support, respite, meals, and transportation activities.

The primary objective is to encourage and support independence among our elderly clients, enabling them to remain in their own homes. A tailored service will be provided based on individual care plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with general client care, including personal care, domestic assistance, and social support.
  • Encourage independence among our elderly clients.
  • Provide a customized service aligned with client care plans.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current C Class Driver's Licence (QLD).
  • A valid NDIS Worker Screening Check (willingness to obtain).
  • Ability to work sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders, respecting their traditional culture, values, and personal ways of doing things.

Desirable Qualifications

- Certificate III in Aged Care/Individual Support/Community Care - Previous experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and/or communities
