Job Description

As a Depot Equipment Operator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our depot yard. Your primary responsibility will be to safely and efficiently move intermodal containers within the yard using top-lift and/or side loader equipment.

You will load and unload intermodal containers from and onto chassis, stack and unstack containers and chassis according to the established yard plan, and coordinate with gate personnel to assist drivers dropping off or picking up equipment.

Additionally, you will support the maintenance team by moving equipment for repairs or inspections, perform routine safety checks, and report any equipment issues or safety concerns.

Qualifications
  • Experience operating heavy equipment such as top-lift, side loader, or similar machinery is required.
  • Strong attention to safety and situational awareness is essential.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Good communication skills and a teamwork-oriented attitude are necessary.
  • Ability to always follow safety requirements and practices.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Must pass a pre-employment background verification, physical and drug screening.
