Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Depot Equipment Operator to join our team. As a key member of our global supply chain, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our depot yard.

Your primary responsibilities will include operating top-lift and/or side loader equipment to move containers within the yard, loading and unloading intermodal containers from and onto chassis, and coordinating with gate personnel to assist drivers dropping off or picking up equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Container Movement: Operate top-lift and/or side loader equipment to move containers within the yard, ensuring efficient and safe container placement.
  • Loading and Unloading: Load and unload intermodal containers from and onto chassis, adhering to established yard plans.
  • Yard Maintenance: Stack and unstack containers and chassis according to the established yard plan, maintaining a clean and organized yard environment.
  • Customer Service: Coordinate with gate personnel to assist drivers dropping off or picking up equipment, providing excellent customer service.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Heavy Equipment Operation: Experience operating top-lift, side loader, or similar heavy equipment is essential.
  • Safety Awareness: Strong attention to safety and situational awareness is critical in this role.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift up to 50lbs.
  • Communication Skills: Good communication skills and a teamwork-oriented attitude are necessary for success.
