Bridge Design Senior Engineer Job Overview

This is a senior-level position for an experienced bridge design engineer to lead technical projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, design, review, prepare construction documents, and deliver high-quality results for bridge projects.
  • Maintain effective relationships with project team members and stakeholders.
  • Develop and manage design budgets for complex scopes of work.
  • Prepare and check design calculations, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Collaborate with project teams to describe and deliver the scope of work effectively.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 10 years experience in transportation-related bridge design.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure required.

Must have thorough knowledge of bridge design and development processes, including AASHTO and Design Manuals, Standards, Specifications, Software, and Microstation.

Preferred Skills:
  • Proficiency with Microstation, Open Roads, InRoads, and other software programs.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, organizational skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
