Expert Bridge Design Leader

This role is a key opportunity for an experienced engineer to lead and contribute to the development of bridge projects across various scales.
Key Responsibilities- Design, coordinate, and manage bridge projects to ensure successful outcomes that meet program, scope, quality, and financial requirements.
- Work on a range of bridges and other structures throughout their life cycle – concept, design, construction, management, assessment, and end-of-life phases.
- Collaborate with government clients, contractors, and stakeholders to deliver exceptional service and foster strong working relationships.
- Provide technical leadership, advice, and champion a culture of delivering high-quality results for bridge teams.
- Model expected quality and occupational health and safety behaviors within project delivery and daily work.
- A tertiary qualification in structural engineering, 15 years' experience, registered professional engineer status, and achieved or close to achieving chartered status.
- Analysis experience with bridge software, including SpaceGASS and Midas Civil.
- Project management skills and commercial acumen.
- Demonstrated experience in bridge design and complex structures, precast segmental, steel, and large span structures to relevant codes and standards.
- Experience in undertaking Level 2 and 3 bridge inspections and structural assessments.
- Leadership skills to mentor emerging engineers and engage with teams, sub-consultants, clients, and stakeholders across multiple disciplines.
- Excellent report writing and verbal communication skills.
