Senior Occupational Therapist Leader Position

This role is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled and passionate Senior Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic Allied Health team in a full-time, permanent capacity.

About the Role:
  • The successful candidate will provide expert occupational therapy services to client groups with complex needs, utilising advanced practice skills.
  • You will actively participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case conferences, and family gatherings, fostering collaboration and effective communication.
  • We require you to use evidence-based clinical outcome measures and patient feedback to inform satisfaction measures and quality assurance activities.
  • Your responsibility will be to prioritise and delegate occupational therapy caseloads, ensuring efficient management and high-quality care.
  • Promoting professional values and ethics in your daily practice is essential.
  • You must demonstrate consolidated knowledge of research, evidence-based practice in occupational therapy, and related clinical areas.
  • In this role, you will serve as a clinical consultant for the discipline within the specialty.
  • Documentation in the patient's healthcare record will be done in accordance with our organisation's policies and procedures.
  • You will apply your strong clinical knowledge and skills to support individuals and teams in their practice.
  • Leading and contributing to undergraduate student and volunteer programs, as well as training initiatives, is an integral part of this position.
  • Leads and develops high-performing teams, setting a positive example for caregivers by promoting professional values and ethics.
Key Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need to hold a tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and be registered with AHPRA.

Award-winning experience in senior clinical positions, particularly in highly specialised areas, is highly regarded.

Your ability to coordinate and lead service delivery within your area of expertise will be crucial in achieving exceptional outcomes for patients and the broader health service.
