The Role:
As a Senior Medical Receptionist, you will manage the front desk reception, liaise with patients, support doctors and medical staff, and perform general administration duties.
- Customer Service: Welcome patients into the Centre, collect and enter patient details, answer telephone calls and enquiries, schedule appointments when required, and perform Reception duties.
- Administrative Duties: Assist the Practice Manager and 2IC with day-to-day operations, open and close the Medical Centre, and maintain compliance with organisational policies and procedures.
- Teamwork: Foster professional working relationships with team members, patients, and medical staff, and assist with training and mentoring junior reception staff.
Requirements:
- Two years' experience in a General Practice (GP) setting.
- Previous team leadership experience within a customer service role.
- Proficient computer skills with knowledge of Pracsoft/MedTech Medical Director advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of Medicare billing, batching, and workers' compensation processes.
