Her Health/Her OBGYN is offering a rare opportunity for an experienced medical administration supervisor to join our leading, respected and innovative women's healthcare practice as our Medical Administration Team Lead.

Reporting to a highly qualified, and experienced Practice Manager, you will lead and support your team to consistently deliver effective and efficient internal administrative services and professional and personalised patient experiences.

This is your chance to take responsibility for the administrative function, drive continuous improvement and mentor your team as you:

  1. Streamline administrative workflows.
  2. Develop new procedures, checklists, templates and forms.
  3. Assist with recruitment, selection and onboarding.
  4. Develop and deliver role-based Induction Training Programs.
  5. Plan, publish and coordinate changes to rosters, and back-fill roles as required.
  6. Oversee team administrative activities, provide support and resolve issues.
  7. Coach and develop the skills, knowledge and abilities of team members.
  8. Act as administrative liaison for Doctors, Practitioners and Midwives.
  9. Update settings and maintain administrative IT systems as current.
  10. Provide administrative reporting and recommendations.

To succeed in this role you'll need:

  • 3 years + supervisory experience in General Practice, Allied Health or Specialist Medical Practice (OBGYN would be an advantage).
  • Experience streamlining workflows/developing procedures, checklists and forms.
  • Sound understanding of medical protocols, practices and terminology.
  • Excellent knowledge of patient experience principles, practices and techniques.
  • Knowledge of Medicare/Private fund billing & claims processes, & item numbers.
  • Sound understanding of the Privacy Act as it relates to medical records.
  • Understanding of your obligations relating to employment/WHS&W legislation.
  • Experience booking patients and rostering accordingly.
  • An excellent command of English language and grammar (verbal and written).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, and Flow-charter (or similar).
  • Experience using medical software (Clinic to Cloud is preferred).

Qualifications and due diligence requirements:

  • Certificate IV in Business Administration, Health Administration or Management.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or the Workplace Trainer Skill Set
  • Department of Human Services Working with Children Check
  • National Police Check (or willing to obtain)
  • First Aid Officer (+CPR) and Emergency Warden (or willing to train)
  • Willing to undertake a Pre-Employment Medical.
  • Have permanent work rights to live and work in Australia.
