Job Title: Business & Legal Affairs Manager - Full Time 12

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business & Legal Affairs Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing business affairs and legal support to our productions, as well as engaging with cast, crew, and above-the-line personnel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Business Affairs Support: Provide business affairs and legal support to our productions, including preparing production templates, clearance, location, and vendor/supplier contracts.
  • Legal Advice: Provide day-to-day legal advice to production teams on clearances, compliance, and risk mitigation matters, insurance, and WHS matters.
  • Negotiation: Negotiate funding and screen incentive agreements, as well as maintain effective relationships with all relevant stakeholders.
  • Support to Senior Lawyers: Assist senior lawyers in the team with regards to scripted television production in Australia for international distribution.
Requirements:
  • A qualified lawyer with 4-5 years post-qualification experience (PQE) who holds a current Australian practicing certificate.
  • Experience and passion working for the film and television industry.
  • Calm under pressure.
  • Team-orientated.
  • Conscientious and ethical.
