About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Asset Management Specialist to join our team at uWorkin. As an Asset Management Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the population of power poles and associated attachments around Queensland.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide engineering advice and solutions for the lifecycle management of EQL's poles and associated assets by reviewing and writing maintenance standards and developing innovative solutions to asset issues.
  • Conduct data and trend analysis and modelling of asset failures and defects.
  • Monitor asset condition and performance.
  • Write, review, and improve asset management processes and documentation.
  • Contribute to asset data collection and quality improvements.
  • Provide technical engineering advice to operational issues.
  • Perform asset failure investigations.
  • Research and trial new technologies and processes.
  • Attend site-based inspections to ensure asset and work compliance.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues in your team and across the wider business.
Requirements
  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering (electrical as preference).
  • Sound understanding of asset management principles and how they are implemented.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of the electricity distribution network, including regulations, acts, and standards.
  • Ability to conduct risk management and hazard assessments.
  • Competence in analysing large data sets and using this information to understand asset populations and performance and determine appropriate engineering solutions.
  • Good communication and technical written skills.
  • Ability to juggle conflicting priorities and manage workload.
