**Lead Educator Role:**

The role of Lead Educator is a senior position within the early learning centre, responsible for providing leadership support to the Centre Director and contributing to the development and delivery of high-quality education and care.

**Key Responsibilities Include:**

  • Providing leadership support to the Centre Director on day-to-day operations, and stepping up to cover their role in their absence.
  • Developing positive relationships with team members, children, and families, promoting a culture of quality improvement and teamwork.
  • Delivering educational programs that meet high standards, leveraging strengths and mentoring team members to achieve shared goals.
  • Communicating effectively, demonstrating strong time management, organisational, written, and verbal skills, while fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Seeking perspectives, listening actively, and taking feedback on board to resolve concerns and improve ideas, driving continuous improvement.

**Essential Qualifications/Experience/Skills:**

  • A relevant diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • Current Senior First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma certificates, ensuring child safety and well-being.
  • State relevant Working with Children Check, Blue Card, or Safety Screening, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
  • Highly organised, with experience juggling demands and priorities, managing time effectively, and adapting to changing circumstances.

**Desirable Qualifications/Experience/Skills:**

  • Previous experience as a Lead Educator or Assistant Director, bringing expertise and knowledge to drive centre success.
  • Knowledge of Qikkids and Educa (or similar platforms), enhancing the centre's operational efficiency.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Facebook, leveraging technology to streamline processes and engage stakeholders.
