As a Senior Building Inspector, you will be responsible for shaping the future of building standards in Queensland. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a dedicated team and drive high performance.

About the Role
  • This role involves providing leadership, training and mentoring to team members ensuring ongoing compliance with building codes, Australian Standards and QBCC policies.
  • You will assist in approving scopes for rectification of defective and incomplete residential construction work and provide evidence in court proceedings.
  • Developing, implementing and reviewing policies, procedures and systems are key aspects of this role.
  • Manage case loads including conducting investigations and preparing detailed reports on complaints related to defective building work.
  • Administering regulatory provisions, interpreting and applying building codes and associated standards is crucial in this position.
  • Preparing reports and statements for disciplinary proceedings and giving evidence in court are also key responsibilities.
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Hold a Builder's License from QBCC or be eligible.
  • Possess a current Driver's License and have a good driving record.
  • Apply contemporary building standards, practices and legislation.
  • Have high level interpersonal and investigative skills.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and lead a team.
  • High level problem solving and analytical skills.
