We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to join our team.

About the Role

This is a dynamic opportunity for a skilled procurement professional to lead the end-to-end management of local category strategies under a commercial portfolio, which includes sales and marketing, HR services, IT, travel, professional and consultancy services, and all other corporate-related services.

The successful candidate will understand current spend and future business requirements in accordance with zero-based budgeting policies, drive value and savings through robust and disciplined category management, and maintain a detailed knowledge of the spend categories within their remit.

The key responsibilities of this role include managing a small team of senior buyers who will own specific spend categories to optimize cost, value, and service levels, building and executing a healthy 12-month rolling pipeline of sourcing and procurement initiatives that support short-, mid-, and long-term strategies, engaging stakeholders to implement and comply with strategies, and leading supplier relationship management and development programs in partnership with stakeholders and strategic suppliers.

The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be highly resilient, have a problem-solving mindset, and possess a strong work ethic. They should have experience in negotiation, contract development and implementation, and proficiency in Excel and business procurement systems. A bachelor's degree in a related discipline is mandatory, and eligibility to work in Australia is required.
