Strategic Procurement Lead

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Strategic Procurement Lead to steer our procurement compass towards unmatched efficiency and effectiveness. At our organization, we're shaping trust within the digital age.

About the Role

  • System and Process Optimization: Take charge of our ERP systems; your strategic vision will ensure their seamless function and continuous improvement through process mapping, workflow analysis, and technology implementation.
  • Contract Management: From negotiation to management, you'll ensure our contracts are not just agreements but strong safeguards protecting our interests by leveraging best practices, risk assessment, and contractual clauses.
  • Supplier Relationships: Develop rich relationships with suppliers ensuring a procurement cycle that's as efficient as it is effective through vendor management, performance monitoring, and supply chain collaboration.
  • Strategic Synergy: Work cross-departmentally to join procurement with overall business goals, ensuring a seamless operational flow by aligning procurement strategies with corporate objectives and fostering a culture of transparency.
  • Financial Awareness: Your keen eye will oversee our procurement budgets, ensuring every dollar spent is a dollar invested in our success by analyzing financial data, identifying areas for cost reduction, and implementing budgetary controls.
  • Innovative Initiatives: Lead projects that not only meet but anticipate market shifts, keeping us ahead of the curve by leveraging emerging trends, technology, and innovation.
  • Quality and Compliance Vigilance: Uphold our high standards, making sure that every procurement decision aligns with our core values and quality benchmarks by enforcing compliance, auditing processes, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Customer-Centric Procurement: Balance the needs of our customers with internal requirements, ensuring procurement strategies align with customer expectations and business goals by adopting a customer-centric approach, gathering feedback, and adapting procurement strategies accordingly.
About You
  • Experience: At least 5 years in procurement within a relevant industry, backed by a proven track record of strategic procurement success.
  • Skill Set: Superior skills in contract negotiation, ERP systems, and a deep understanding of procurement processes and procedures.
  • Leadership: A natural leader, ready to mentor and inspire a team towards excellence by promoting a positive work environment, developing talent, and driving engagement.
  • Analytical Knowhow: A problem-solving mindset with sharp analytical skills to navigate and optimize complex procurement landscapes.
  • Communication: Exceptional communication skills to effectively liaise with stakeholders and suppliers alike.
  • Qualifications: A relevant tertiary qualification; additional certifications in supply chain or procurement management are a plus.
