Job Overview

The Director, Enforcement will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of key strategies, policies, and procedures to enable the effective regulation and enforcement of the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of key strategies, policies, and procedures to achieve effective regulatory outcomes.
  • Provide high-level leadership to the Enforcement team to deliver agreed outcomes through building and maintaining a high-performing team with the appropriate capabilities and skill sets.
  • Exercise professional judgement in Enforcement matters.
  • Represent AUSTRAC in external forums and liaison with external and internal stakeholders to build/maintain networks.

The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders. They will also have a strong understanding of the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act and Australian financial system.

A strong understanding of the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act and Australian financial system is also essential.
