A key role exists for a specialist in financial services regulatory law within our organization in Sydney. As part of this position, you will collaborate with legal professionals across various offices and gain exposure to complex superannuation and financial services regulatory work.

About the Position

We are seeking an experienced legal professional who can advise on regulatory matters relating to superannuation and financial services. You should have strong academic credentials, excellent legal analysis and writing skills, as well as experience working in private practice or in-house in the superannuation/financial services sector.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with regulatory projects and transformations;
  • Respond to investigations and prosecutions by authorities like APRA and ASIC;
  • Advise on superannuation fund mergers;
  • Collaborate with our M&A team on financial transactions;
  • Negotiate commercial agreements, including outsourcing and distribution.

Requirements

  • Experience advising superannuation or financial services clients on regulatory matters;
  • Private practice or in-house experience in superannuation/financial services law;
  • Strong academic record, legal analysis, writing, and communication skills;
  • Motivation to learn, grow, and mentor others.
