About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Sustainability Specialist to join our team at Transport for NSW. As a key member of our Environment & Sustainability team, you will play a critical role in supporting the transformation of the transport sector towards a greener and more sustainable future.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide expert advice and assistance on environmental and sustainability management, compliance, and planning requirements to support organisational frameworks and meet community expectations.
  2. Review and prepare environmental assessment documentation, provide technical advice, and conduct field work on sites across the southeast of NSW.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualifications in environmental science, environmental engineering, sustainability, environmental planning, or a similar discipline.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Effective problem-solving skills with a willingness to work across diverse projects.
  • Understanding of state and federal regulations relating to environmental practice, policies, and procedures.
  • Experience in delivering outcomes working across multiple projects in a time-critical environment.
  • A driver's license.
