Position Overview

Role Responsibilities

As a Junior Financial Accountant, you will engage in a diverse range of accounting tasks under the guidance of a Senior Finance Manager. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing the accounts payable function
  • Conducting bank reconciliations
  • Preparing payment runs
  • Assisting with month-end closing activities
  • Performing cash reconciliations
  • Executing intercompany reconciliations
  • Maintaining fixed assets and depreciation records
  • Preparing documentation for tax submissions (GST, WHT, FBT, Income Tax)

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • A degree in accounting or a related field, with intentions to pursue a professional qualification (e.g., CA, CPA, ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent)
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting roles, such as Accounts Officer or Junior Financial Accountant
  • Experience in a chartered accounting firm will also be considered
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with various stakeholders
  • A confident and personable demeanor to collaborate with non-financial team members
