A Day in the Life of a Disability Support Worker

As a Disability Support Worker, you will be supporting clients in activities such as recreation, social events, shopping, appointments, and daily living tasks including personal care, meal prep, and mobility assistance.

  • A positive approach, self-motivation, and initiative
  • Commitment to empowering clients and upholding quality and safety standards
  • Effective communication skills and good English literacy
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team
  • Willingness to support personal care activities
  • An Australian Driver Licence
  • The right to work in Australia
  • Ability to obtain First Aid and CPR certificates if not already held

Certificate IV in Disability, relevant experience, or interest in community services are beneficial, but not mandatory as we offer training and support. Transferable skills are also valued.
