Senior Engineering Leadership Opportunity

This leadership role involves providing strategic direction and oversight to engineering, inventory, and purchasing functions ensuring operations are safe, cost-effective, and aligned with our commitment to quality and performance excellence.

We seek a senior leader who can develop and manage comprehensive life cycle asset management plans, lead technical knowledge-sharing initiatives, and provide assurance and consulting support to continuously improve engineering operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Asset Management Plan Development: Develop and manage comprehensive 10-year life cycle asset management plans for all terminals.
  • Knowledge-Sharing Initiatives: Plan and direct technical knowledge-sharing initiatives, including site assessments, on-the-job training, workshops, and learning programs in collaboration with L&D and Safety & Environment teams.
  • Assurance and Consulting Support: Provide objective, independent assurance and consulting support aimed at continuously improving engineering operations.
  • Strategic Equipment Procurement: Lead commercial and legal aspects of strategic equipment procurement, including negotiations, vendor management, and contract execution.
  • Regional Engineering Strategies: Establish and implement regional engineering strategies, policies, procedures, and guidelines to enhance operational performance.
  • Technology Adoption: Promote innovation and the adoption of integrated engineering technologies and systems across all business sites.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical disciplines, or related technical field.
  • Additional certifications in asset management, project management, or procurement strategy are highly regarded.
  • Minimum of 15 years' engineering experience in a heavy equipment or industrial environment, with deep exposure to complex operational systems.
  • At least 10 years in a senior management or leadership role, with a strong record of leading cross-functional teams and engineering operations.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing competitive and breakthrough strategies that drive operational performance and innovation.
  • Future-oriented mindset with a broad industry perspective and the ability to communicate visionary goals credibly and effectively.
  • Proven experience in managing major strategic projects, including: Engineering systems implementation and upgrades Equipment procurement and refurbishment Large-scale asset lifecycle management initiatives
