Job Title: Senior Engineering Leader

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced engineering leader to join our senior leadership team and help drive project success.

In this role, you will lead and manage engineering aspects of key projects, including design, construction, and delivery. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing systems, processes, and governance frameworks to ensure high-quality project delivery.

This is a full-time position based in Sydney or one of our other key metropolitan offices, with travel as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee engineering management for water and wastewater projects, from design through to construction.
  • Drive the development of systems, processes, and governance frameworks to ensure high-quality project delivery.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with design teams, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure designs are feasible, cost-effective, and aligned with project objectives.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance across design and construction phases, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
  • Work closely with project managers, site managers, construction teams, and other key stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination between design, engineering, and construction activities.
  • Lead and mentor engineering teams, ensuring they have the necessary resources, skills, and training to deliver on project objectives.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in engineering management within the water and wastewater sector.
  • Strong expertise in design and construct projects, with hands-on experience in contractor-side delivery highly desirable.
  • Background in mechanical engineering highly desirable with strong experience in design management.
  • A passion for building and improving systems, processes, and governance frameworks to drive project success.
  • You will be a natural problem solver who enjoys solving complex problems and partnering with clients and project teams to provide innovative solutions.
