About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Training and Development Specialist to join our team at the ABF College. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing and delivering a range of activities including training programs, team management, and stakeholder relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver training programs for Border Force Officer Recruit Trainees (BFORTs) and other officers;
  • Manage a team of BFORT trainers and recruits during classroom phase of the BFORT program;
  • Assist in setting priorities and ensuring quality of outputs for the work area;
  • Support complex relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve work area and agency goals;
  • Develop and manage stakeholder relationships and provide advice where necessary;
  • Facilitate business support activities for team and other work areas, identifying risks and determining appropriate courses of action to meet stakeholder needs;
  • Coordinate resources, monitor and record all training.

Requirements

  • Degree in Adult Education or related field;
  • Proven experience in training and facilitation;
  • Ability to effectively manage competing priorities;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Australian citizenship;
  • Baseline Vetting (AGSVA) security clearance and Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC).

Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate will receive a salary of approximately $84,335-$99,779 per annum, plus 15.4% superannuation. We also offer a range of benefits, including flexible working conditions, professional development opportunities, and access to our employee assistance program.
