Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our team as a Professional Training Development Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing training systems policies, strategies, and programs that meet the needs of the Australian Defence Force.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop educational, training development, and training systems policies and strategies;
  • Analyse Army training and educational proposals;
  • Manage the Training Command training systems capability;
  • Administer Army's Civil Accreditation Program;
  • Provide technical direction and career management advice for RAAEC personnel;
  • Provide training systems support to all Training Command schools;
  • Produce Army's technology-based-training and distance education and training;
  • Educate Staff Cadets to the standard required in communications skills;
  • Conduct Australian familiarisation and English training for foreign students;
  • Conduct cross-cultural awareness training;
  • Support trade and continuation training, training development, and evaluation;
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A strong background in education or a related field;
  • Experience in training development and implementation;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills;

Location

This role is based in Sydney, but may require travel to other locations within Australia. You will be required to work at various locations, including Army training establishments, and may be required to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends.
