Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team in Australia. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for performing equipment installations, preventive maintenance, validations, and repair of equipment and products in the field. You will also provide quality product support to customers, conduct in-service sessions, and deliver technical training.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement technical service functions for STERIS equipment.
  • Perform equipment installations, preventive maintenance, validations, and repair of equipment and products in the field as assigned.
  • Interface with customers to provide quality product support.
  • Conduct in-service sessions and provide technical training to customers.
  • File product complaints according to company procedures.
  • Assist with spare parts inventory management for various products.
  • Identify training needs and make recommendations.
  • Maintain preventive maintenance and troubleshooting records.
  • Document and update internal procedures.
  • Manage and maintain equipment and spares database files.
  • Deliver a superior level of customer after-sales support.

Requirements

  • Trades Certificate, Engineering Certificate/Diploma with strong hands-on technical service experience with medical equipment.
  • Experience in troubleshooting, repair, modify, overhaul, or refurbish standard and special purpose equipment and systems components.
  • Ability to operate a computer, with intermediate understanding of DOS and Windows, and proficiency in Microsoft Office software packages.
  • Visual acuity and manual dexterity to manipulate tools and equipment.
  • Customer-oriented and focused.
  • Travel within Australia as assigned, with occasional travel outside of Australia.
