Emergency Medicine Specialist Role

We are seeking experienced medical professionals to join our emergency medicine team in a regional trauma service.

The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical leadership skills, the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and have a commitment to teaching and clinical education.

  • This role offers a unique opportunity to bring your expertise to a busy emergency department seeing approximately 57,000 patients per year.

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality emergency care across all age groups, providing leadership and mentorship in a multidisciplinary team and supporting the education and development of junior medical staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality emergency care across all age groups.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Fellowship (or eligible for fellowship) with the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine (ACEM).

  • Leadership experience within emergency or trauma settings.
  • Commitment to teaching and clinical education.
  • Experience with clinical governance or quality improvement.

You will work in a well-equipped emergency department with a fast track area, a 12-bed short stay unit and an increasing acuity and admission rate.
