Medical Director Emergency Department: A Leadership Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Medical Director to lead our Emergency Department, providing strategic vision and clinical expertise. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leadership in emergency medicine, with experience in managing large teams and delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery of emergency medicine services, ensuring safe and high-quality patient care
  • Provide strategic direction and guidance to a diverse team of clinicians and support staff
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve patient outcomes and efficiency
  • Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including nursing leadership and external partners
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in emergency medicine, with a strong background in leadership and management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Fellowship with the Australian College of Emergency Medicine (FACEM)
  • Current, unencumbered Specialist AHPRA registration
