Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer to lead our team of substation designers and collaborate closely with clients, internal stakeholders, and external partners to deliver exceptional results.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the design of HV and EHV substations, excellent interpersonal and technical skills, and the ability to develop and lead design teams.

They will also be commercially minded, able to understand business needs, and possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Power Engineering, preferably with CPEng and/or RPEQ certification.

  • Leading a team of substation designers
  • Preparing and delivering a full scope of work for EHV substations
  • Maintaining client relationships
  • Collaborating closely with clients and stakeholders
  • Participating in design reviews, risk assessments, and quality control processes
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Power Engineering
  • CPEng and/or RPEQ desirable
  • Extensive proven experience in HV and EHV substation design
  • Excellent interpersonal and technical skills
  • Commercially minded and able to understand business needs
