Job Role:

The Senior Electrical Power System Analyst is responsible for conducting complex power system analyses to maximize project value and manage technical risks across all phases of renewable energy projects.

  • Develop and implement static, dynamic, and transient models for electrical power systems in wind farms, solar PV farms, energy storage systems, and hybrid generation projects.
  • Design control algorithms and solutions for complex network characteristics and performance requirements.
  • Perform electrical design studies, including load flow, short circuit, voltage profile, and system losses.
  • Conduct specialized power system analyses, including harmonic analysis and insulation coordination.
  • Lead grid compliance studies, such as voltage control, frequency response, and fault ride-through.
  • Produce high-quality reports and presentations, providing technical recommendations based on simulation results.
  • Provide training and support to global teams, developing and maintaining systems and processes across regions.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Electrical studies using Digsilent, PSS/E, PSCAD, MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Attention to detail and ability to interpret complex technical documentation.
  • Ability to define requirements with stakeholders and deliver to scope, budget, and program.
  • Awareness of the commercial impact of electrical analysis on project value and risk.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks from multiple projects and clients.
  • Ability to communicate, collaborate, and interact with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Power system modeling of distribution, transmission, and large generation projects including onshore and offshore wind farms, solar PV farms, energy storage systems, and hybrid generation projects.
  • Developing control system algorithms & models.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
PhD or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power System Engineering, or equivalent experience.
