Chief Vascular Sonographer Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated professional to lead our vascular laboratory service.

This pivotal role is responsible for delivering high-quality clinical assessment and diagnostic vascular sonographic services.

The successful candidate will oversee and coordinate all aspects of the vascular laboratory, including:

  • Staff management and supervision
  • Training and mentoring programs
  • Equipment procurement and maintenance
  • Liaison with hospital administrators to ensure alignment with strategic goals

This leadership position requires a professional who is both clinically proficient and an empowering leader with a strong commitment to excellence in patient care and team performance.

Ideal Candidate Requirements:

  • A Bachelor of Medical Radiation Science or another relevant health qualification
  • Postgraduate qualification in vascular ultrasound with extensive hands-on experience in vascular examinations
  • Current ASAR accreditation (Australian Sonographers Accreditation Registry)

Important Note on Classification: To be appointed as a Medical Radiation Scientist, you must be currently registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
