Sonography Leader

This pivotal leadership position is responsible for delivering high-quality clinical assessment and diagnostic vascular sonographic services.

The role involves overseeing the coordination of all aspects of the vascular laboratory service, including:

• Staff rostering and supervision
  • Staff training and mentoring
    • Equipment procurement and maintenance
      • Liaison with hospital management to ensure alignment with strategic and operational goals
    • Have a professional who is both clinically proficient and an empowering leader with a strong commitment to excellence in patient care and team performance.

The ideal candidate must have:

• A Bachelor of Medical Radiation Science, Science, Applied Science, or another relevant health qualification
  • Postgraduate qualification in vascular ultrasound with extensive hands-on experience in vascular examinations
    • Current ASAR accreditation (Australian Sonographers Accreditation Registry)
  • To be appointed and paid as a Medical Radiation Scientist, you must be currently registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

Applicants who do not hold AHPRA registration will be appointed and remunerated at the Cardiac Technologist classification level.
