Lawyer - Casework Specialist

This role offers the chance to expand your experience by undertaking interesting and varied casework in a wide range of jurisdictions.
As a lawyer, you will be supervised to prepare cases and advocate on behalf of clients and provide advice about legal matters.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide an efficient and effective legal service to clients in accordance with legislation and directions, policy, guidelines and practice standards.
- Deliver quality legal services by conducting casework including taking instructions, undertaking research and analysis, preparing documents, preparing matters, instructing counsel and if admitted, appear as a lawyer in various courts and tribunals to effectively advocate for legal aid clients.
- Provide duty lawyer services (when accredited), legal information and advice to clients and the public.
- Liaise with appropriate stakeholders, other government agencies and community organisations in relation to case information.
- Support contributions to policy, procedure, law reform and legal service delivery initiatives as required and participate in the development of team plans and work practices.
- Multiple full-time temporary positions available across several locations.
